you just got [N1'd]

i can complain for hours about admissions..how i disagree about certain academic policies etc etc. but i won't do that here.

let's just say i don't wanna become those counselors that get fed up with students, disregard their application, and dump them in a pile with other apps of students that will be forgotten and be used as future paper planes.

but today i got fed up with a student and just put an "N1" on his application. This code means that his application is on hold and in the near future he will be receiving a rejection letter from UCI. Why is he going to be rejected? because he failed to fax me a transcript that i requested a month ago and its been sitting in his backpack this whole time (which he accidentally blurted out when i spoke to him on the phone).

just for being irresponsible, you just got N1'd.

i think i've been sympathetic enough to most students, it's time for them to learn that the real world is not nice.

i wish i was nice again :(
